I have never taken kids with me. Given the heavy timetable of worm meetings, I can’t see where kids would fit in! They are also never during the (U.K.) school vacation. It might be nice to shift the timing a little between different meetings, so that there was more variety, because different times of the week/year suit different people.

My 2cents: conference timing is a big one for me. The worm meeting is always scheduled over a weekend, which I find family unfriendly. I miss out on time with kids while my husband has to juggle kids solo for 2 full days without the help of daycare. Perhaps the weekend conference works better for others, though… It might be useful to know whether parents generally find certain timings more convenient, and if a strong preference is indicated, taking this into account when choosing conference dates.
